Skills recognition

Trade skills recognition
Trade skills recognition is a way of gaining formal recognition of your skills and work experience. If you have not completed an apprenticeship in Australia or you have gained trade skills overseas, you can have your skills, work experience and trade qualifications nationally recognised.

Overseas qualification recognition
Formal qualifications gained overseas and awarded by recognised educational institutions can be assessed for comparability to Australian educational awards.

Assessments provide employers and educational institutions with information on how overseas qualifications compare with Australian awards. Assessments provide an indication of the general educational comparability of a qualification. They are not comparisons between Australian institutions or professions and their overseas counterparts.

Paraprofessional/technical qualifications recognition
Paraprofessionals and technicians hold qualifications above trade level (certificate III) and below a degree. They often assist professionals, have highly developed practical skills and understand complex theoretical knowledge.
